Stock Description: An out and out crossbred herd which has been criss-crossing LIC based Jersey and Holstein Friesian bloodlines with generations – the result being and ideal medium sized fertile herd with maximum hybrid vigour – very efficient cows. The heifer group are carbon copies of their dams – strong square heifers and with a maintenance index of €46 predicting a liveweight of approx 520kgs when mature. Of the 55 on offer approx 31 are in-calf to dairy sexed semen (Balantis Tempest JEX242) and calving in February. The remaining heifers are in-calf to Angus AI and calving through March into April. Fully vaccinated and source herd has a 40 year TB clear history. heifers also have had a recent TB test. Nearly all the group are AI sired and genotyped.
