Role Description
Grasstec Group is currently seeking a motivated CAD Technician, or suitably qualified technical professional, to join our Farmyard Design team.
Based at our office in Newtownshandrum, Co. Cork, the successful candidate will play an important role in delivering practical, compliant, and high-quality farmyard design solutions for agricultural clients across Ireland and the UK.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a specialised sector combining engineering, agriculture, and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Drafting: Prepare drawing layouts, scheme designs, and detailed construction drawings for farmyard developments.
- Technical Delivery: Produce civil, structural, and/or architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
- Project Support: Assist throughout the full design process, ensuring all technical documentation meets industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver efficient and practical design solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in architectural technology or a related discipline.
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and a high level of general computer literacy.
- Organisation: Excellent planning and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience: Previous experience in land or building surveying is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: A farming background or understanding of the agricultural sector would be a strong advantage, but is not essential.
