Stock Description: Here we have a very nice group of 36 Hol-Fr cows. 34 have calved over the last 6 weeks with 2 more to calve. These cows come from an autumn block calving herd and are for sale due to calving outside of their block. The cows are Hol-Fr bred with 30 being 600-650 kg. There are 10 smaller cows in the 520-550kg bracket. The cows are of good conformation, all correct in the udder with good feet and legs. All cows are cubicle trained.
Production Capacity: Herd performance in excellent; 7750 litres, 4.7% fat, 3.5% pro and 654 kg milk solids per cow from an 650 kg mature weight cow so very efficient cows. These cows would fit into a more intensive system or would be happy in a spring calving system.
Age & Lactation: The cows are a young group in general but are a variety of ages, all cows are functionally correct.
Health Status: The herd is individually Johnes monitored. Vaccinated for IBR, BVD, Lepto and Salmonella. The herd is in a 6 month TB testing area.
