The cows have been out wintered all winter. The cows will be 550kg liveweight and are run on a very basic grazing system and out wintered every year.
Production Capacity: The herd is not pushed in any way, and is managed to utlise the farms assets, the herd is producing 450kg milk solids per year from just over 5100 litres this could certainly be increased on a different system which would allow the cows to reach their genetic potential.

Health Status: The herd is in a 12 month testing area and has had no issues with TB. The herd is individually monitored for Johnes with no red cows in the group. The herd is IBR, Lepto and BVD vaccinated, due BVD booster next month.
