Stock Description: Here we have for sale an opportunity to buy 23 Autumn bulling heifers from a closed crossbred genuine autumn calving herd. All the heifers for sale are AI sired by Irish Holstein Friesian sires from the Genus Grazing catalogue. With some Norwegian red sired cows in the herd but most are Irish Holstein Friesian.
Production Capacity: The herd is run on a simple grass based autumn calving system with no tmr. With these genetics they will go on and perform well in a more intensive feeding system and they will respond. The herd is milk recorded.
Age & Lactation: 13 / 14 months.
TB Status: TB 1 area.
Health Status: The herd is closed and has been for a number of years since expansion. They are monitored for all the major diseases and vaccinated for Lepto , BVD and IBR. These heifers are genuine surplus due to good herd fertility.
