Stock Description: A very nice group of end of spring block cows all due to AI A Angus from 18 March - 16 April. The cows are medium size 550kg and are in great condition ahead of calving, good type of cow with depth and lengh with well attached udders and good feet and legs. Coming from a very fertile herd run on a spring sytem, these cows will be larger than most typical spring calving cows.
Production Capacity: The herd achieves 5700 litres, 4.61% fat and 3.64% pro on 1 tonne parlour feed and extensive grazing, cubicle housed and fed bale silage in winter. The genetics are there for a higher level of production on a different type of system.
Age & Lactation: This is a youthfull group of cows 17 due with 2nd, 3rd and 4th calves, 1 due 5th and 2 due 6th. These cows have good conformation and bred for longevity.
Health Status: The herd is located in the low risk TB area of N Wales, the herd is Johnes monitured with no high reading cows in the group. There are no high cell count cows in the group, vaccinated for Lepto and BVD, herd BVD tag and tested for last 5 years.
Unique Selling Point: Medium size cows not far off calving ahead of the grazing season. Buyers will not be dissapointed on inspection.
