Stock Description: A nice small group of young cows calving from 14 May - 4 June incalf to Named Hereford stock bull. The cows are calving out of the main spring block calving period, all the cows are functionally correct with no high cell counts and walking on good feet and legs. Mixed breeding as can be seen in the video. The cows are in good condition and wil be a welcome boost to summer milk production.
Production Capacity: The herd is a spring block calving herd producing 6520 litres, 4.51% fat and 3.53% pro on grazed grass, silage and just 1.3 tonne parlour feed per year. Many cows in this group would be capable of higher yields on a more intensive system.
Age & Lactation: The group is youthfull with 3 in calf heifers, 8 in lac 1, 3 in lac 2, 3 in lac 3 and one in lac 6. All cows are currently dry.
Health Status: All cows are Johnes tested, herd in TB1 area with no cases ever been on farm.
Unique Selling Point: A Young cows calving to named Hereford bull. Very good value for money cows.
