Stock Description: This is the entire autumn calving group of heifers for this split block calving herd. Due to the dry weather the difficult decision has been made to sell this group to lessen the demand for forage. The herd is a split block calving herd which utilizes grazing as much as possible. The genetics in the herd are mixed with a large proportion of the original cows being Fleckvieh and Montbeliarde type, these have been crossed with Genus Irish Holstein Friesians to breed a 550-600 kg cow that can utilze grass and produce high solids milk efficiently and fit both the autumn and spring blocks. The heifers are in great condition well grown and in good body condition ahead of calving. They are due from early Oct in a 7 week block in calf to A Angus or Hereford stock bulls. Ideally the group is for sale as a whole or would consider splitting into 2 groups.
